Federal Tax Credit
Federal Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit End December 31st!
Take advantage of Federal Energy Efficiency Tax Credits before it’s too late! Residents interested in saving on home energy improvements should act now to be eligible for a tax credit of up to $500 for insulation, windows and doors, as well as for the purchase of high-efficiency heating, cooling, and water-heating equipment. See additional requirements here.
To help with your home energy improvements, sign up with the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance for a Home Performance with Energy Star assessment. The 3-4 hour whole- house assessment provides you with a professional analysis of your home's air leakage, heating and cooling equipment, utility usage, insulation needs, and mechanical systems. The Energy Alliance works with local industry certified approved contractors to offer these assessments at a reduced cost,
as well as additional cash incentives of up to 35%, and a low interest loan for home energy improvements.
The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance is a regional non-profit that helps homeowners in Hamilton County (OH), and Boone, Kenton, and Campbell Counties in KY, regardless of income. To get started on improving your home’s comfort and reducing your monthly energy bills through the Home Performance with Energy Star program, visit www.greatercea.org.
