EPAct Tax Deduction
Investing in energy efficiency improvements may qualify commercial property owners for a tax deduction of up to $1.80 per square foot.
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 provides tax deductions for energy efficiency improvements that achieve a 50 percent overall energy cost reduction as compared to a building built to ASHRAE 90.1-2001 standards.
