About GCEA

The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities reduce their energy costs. We believe that through education, expertise, and innovative financing, we can help Greater Cincinnati become more energy efficient, saving money for residents while creating local jobs throughout our community.

Energy Saved is Money Saved

Simple steps can lead to big savings. The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance was created to help citizens identify paths to energy efficiency, from simple and low-cost measures such as lightbulb change-outs to more comprehensive measures such as helping building owners reduce air infiltration and upgrade mechanical systems.

The first step toward savings is an energy audit or assessment – a review of your lighting, HVAC, insulation, and other energy-consuming equipment in your building.

The Benefits of an Energy Audit

GCEA’s energy audit will help you identify the most effective areas for energy efficiency in your home. After a 3-4 hour comprehensive inspection and analysis of your home’s air infiltration, mechanical systems, insulation, and lighting, our professional auditor will provide you with a printed list of energy savings measures that could save you money on your energy bill. This report details the approximate cost and energy savings of each measure, giving you a roadmap for creating an efficient and comfortable home.
